Punjab Crime: Jalandhar businessman shot dead in broad daylight

JALANDHAR :Two motorcycle borne criminals shot dead a local businessman Anil Kumar Billa in broad daylight on the day Punab Police was scheduled to carry out flag march in the city to instill a feeling of security among residents on 32nd anniversary of Operation Blue Star. The police personnel were present in large number bear Company Bagh area where the businessman was gunned down. The miscreants escaped after committing the crime. Billa was shot dead from point blamk range when he stopped his car on the red light point. He was alone in the SUV, he was driving. They pumped several bullets into his head. He died on the spot. Eyewitnesses said that there was a police naka about 100 meters from the site of murder but the assailants managed to escape.
