athankot : In wake of terror attacks, police installed CCTV cameras at various spots in and around Pathankot region of Punjab for better surveillance after security alert inputs.After the heavily armed group attacked the Pathankot Air Force Station in January, it was decided that CCTV will be installed in nearby villages near border areas for better surveillance, said Pathankot police. Meanwhile, the state government railway police (GRP) have fortified the 107-km-long Pathankot-Amritsar railway track.GRP said that keeping in view the terror attacks, several measures were outlined to protect the track.At least 24 beats have been established on the track leading from Pathankot to Amritsar via Dinanagar, Gurdaspur, Dhariwal and Batala.
