Amritsar SAD leader paid Rs.2 lakh to Chhotepur for joining AAP

AMRITSAR : Senior leader of Shiromani Akali Dal and former district president of Amritsar Upkar Singh Sandhu had revealed that he had also paid Rs.two lakhs to Sucha Singh Chhotepur for his meeting with AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and to join Aam Aadmi Party(AAP).
Upkar Singh Sandhu had resigned from the post of Amritsar district SAD president in protest against incidents of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib. H told media persons here that after resigning from SAD he decided to join AAP and approached Sucha Singh Chhotepur. Sandhu clained that he paid Rs.two lakhs to Chhotepur for arranging his entry into AAP. He said that he met Chhotepur 4-5 times but he failed to join him AAP. He claimed that certain aides of Chhotepur told him that he is required to give fund for joining party. Sandhu who is considered an upright politrician said that he paid Rs. two lakhs to Chhotepur on May 13, 2016 but Chhotepur had not given him any freceipt for the money. He said that he was sure Chhotepur had not informed party high command about the money paid by him.
