CHANDIGARH : Punjab Congress President Capt Amarinder Singh today hold Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal fully responsible for the Rs. 32,000 cr embezzelement in procurement of food grains and refuted the allegations of Badal that Congress government had lef behind any cash credit balance.
Addressing media here Capt Amarinder Singh said that in 2012 when he was Chief Minister they left zero balance of cash credit. He said that Badal government took cash credit from Reserve Bank of India for procurement of food but embezzelled the money. He said that Congress would not allow Badal to walk away with Rs.32,000. “We will hand over the case to CBI after forming government”, he said and added.
The former Chief Minister said it was a clear case of embezzlement and now Mr Badal was trying to convert it into a loan, which will not be allowed any cost. “We will hold him accountable for each penny”, he asserted. He also raked up the drug issue and allegations levelled by Bhola, a former cop arrested for drug smuggling. He said that Enforcement Directorate which falls under control of Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely is not probing the case properly. He said that all the persons named by Bhola are not summoned by ED. He said that Jaitely was not allowing a fair probe. Capt Amarinder was accompanied by the Chairperson Campaign Committee Ms Ambika Soni, Secretary AICC Harish Chaudhry and the senior vice president PCC Laal Singh.
