Chandigarh The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday announced the candidature of Delhi MLA and co-incharge of Punjab political affairs Jarnail Singh from the high-profile Lambi constituency, represented by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
The announcement was made at a rally in Lambi in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Jarnail, a former journalist and a 1984 anti-Sikh riots victim, had shot into the limelight when he threw a shoe at P Chidambaram, Union Finance Minister during the UPA regime.Badal has been winning the seat since 2007. However, there are reports that Badal’son, Sukhbir, might contest from Lambi this time.
