AAP’s Jagraon candidate Sarabjit Kaur injured in road accident

Jagraon : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s Jagraon candidate Sarabjit Kaur Manuke and four of her supporters were injured while a tractor-trolley driver was killed in a road accident near Jagraon on Saturday morning.
Manuke received injuries on her head and other parts of the body. The accident took place due to heavy fog near Bodalwala village on the Jagraon-Jalandhar highway at around 8.30 when Manuke was going to Leelan Megh Singh village for campaigning.
The deceased has been identified as Gurwinder Singh of Bodalwala village while the injured are Manuke, her driver Gurdeep Singh, Sarabjit Singh and Manjot Singh.
The injured were rushed to a private hospital in Jagraon. Gurwinder died on the spot. Later, Manuke was referred to a Moga hospital, where her condition is said to be out of danger. The other injured are undergoing treatment at different hospitals of Jagraon. According to sources, Manuke, along with her supporters, was traveling in a Mahindra Scorpio SUV. The vehicle was behind a tractor-trolley which collided with another tractor-trolley coming from the opposite side and the SUV of Manuke rammed into the tractor-trolley.
