CHANDIGARH : The Chief Judicial Magistrate of Chandigarh would on February 18 hear the arguments in defamation case against Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, filed by R.P.Singh head of International Akhand Kirtani Jatha for calling the latter terrorist during election campaign.
R.P.Singh has filed the complaint in the court of CJM under section 190 of CRPC for offence of criminal defmation under section 499 of IPC read with sdction 500/501 and 50 of IPC.Sukhbir Badal had alleged that AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister had linkis with terrorists and he has met R.P.Singh head of Akahnd Kirtani Jatha which is frontal organisation of Babbar Khalsa international.
R.P.Singh has alleged that frustrated over his imminent defeat in the assembly elections, Sukhbir Badal had linkied him with the terrorists and making false allegations during his election rallies. R.O.Singh said that allegations of Sukhbur Badal had tarnished his image at international level. He said that Arvind Kejriwal had visited his house due to personal relations. To defame Kejriwal the SAD president had linkied him(R.P.Singh) with terrorists.
R.P.Singh said that he had met Sukhbir;s father Parkash Singh Badal several times in connection with many issues and he never called him terrorist. He said that it was necessary to punish Sukhbir Badal. He said that his lawyer PIP Singh will argue the case in court. R.P.Singhalso released his photo with Parkash Singh Badal.
