Anantnag, June 3 : Two army jawans were killed and four others were injured as militants opened fire on their convoy in Qazigund area in Kulgam district on Saturday.
The attack took place around 11 am along the Srinagar-Jammu national highway.
Initial reports say the convoy was moving from Srinagar to Jammu when militants struck near Wuzur village along the highway. Army sources confirmed the number of injured.“The injured have been shifted to hospital,” sources said.The area, meanwhile, has been cordoned off by police and army and efforts are on to nab the attackers.
