PUNJAB CONGRESS LEADERS TO MEET PRESIDENT TODAY SEEKING CENTRAL RULE

Chandigarh: Top leaders of Punjab Congress will meet President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday, demanding central rule in the state over allegedly deteriorating law and order and a CBI probe against the present dispensation.
The Congress leaders will hand over a memorandum demanding imposition of central rule due to the “deteriorating” law and order situation in the wake of a young girl being molested and thrown off a bus owned by the Badal family in Moga.PCC chief Partap Singh Bajwa said “we will also demand a CBI probe against the ruling Badal family and conflict of interest by the Badals”.The delegation will include former Union Ministers Ambika Soni, Ashwani Kumar and MS Gill besides party general secretary incharge of Punjab Congress Shakeel Ahmed, Bajwa and CLP leader Sunil Jakhar.Bajwa hit out at Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal, saying she had no moral right to question a leader like Rahul Gandhi at whom nobody in the country could raise a finger.
