Punjab roadways installs CCTV cameras in buses

CHANDIGARH : The Punjab Government has decided to install CCTV cameras and digital video recorders in the Punjab Roadways, Punbus buses and bus stands to ensure safety of the passengers and in order to provide better facilities to people of the state.Disclosing this here today a spokesman of the Punjab Transport Department said that E-tender has been invited from the reputed registered firms/companies for this purpose and they have been mandated to complete the installation of cameras in a fixed schedule.He further said that in the initial stage there is a proposal to install cameras and digital video recorders in 100 buses, 18 depots and three bus stands.
