Militant killed in encounter in J-K’s Pulwama district

Pulwama, (Jammu and Kashmir), Aug. 6 : A militant was reportedly killed in an encounter by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday. Two militants have reportedly been hiding in Astan Mohalla of the district.The army has launched a search operation to trace the other militant.Further details are awaited. A day after a terrorist attack in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir which led to the arrest of Pakistani terrorist Usman Khan, an encounter has begun between security forces and terrorists in Pulwama district of the state. The security forces have managed to kill at least one terrorist during the gunbattle. The encounter is still on between a joint team of Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in Astan Mohalla area of Kakapora in Pulwama.
