BJP managed MCD should stop spread of dengue, says AAP

New Delhi, Sept.15 : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) managed Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) should take immediate steps to halt the spread of dengue.”If the BJP and the Congress want to politicise this issue, they can, or they can go speak to the MCD about the issue,” AAP leader Ashutosh told ANI.In fact, the primary responsibility of tackling the issue of dengue in the national capital is that of the MCD. This has now become an issue of every year. The MCD is under the BJP. Instead of protesting, they should tell the MLAs who are there in the MCD to act,” he added.”Instead of politicising the issue, both the BJP and the Congress should tell the people of the city not to panic… Ajay Maken and Satish Upadhyay are unemployed now. They should try and help in a situation like this,” he further said.BJP leader, Satish Upadhyay had earlier said that the Government of Delhi should be taking appropriate measures to get those affected by the vector-borne disease admitted to hospitals quickly.”This government was sleeping and they were busy in the Delhi University Student Union (DUSU) elections. And now, they are awake and saying that there is nothing to worry about. People are not being able to get admitted in the hospital. The government should worry about this and get the poor admitted. This situation is very terrifying,” said Upadhyay. The Centre has asked the Delhi Government to increase the bed strength in hospitals and to initiate action against private hospital, which are over charging the patients.
