CHANDIGARH : The Punjab InfoTech would conduct special training courses of 3 months duration for the 4400 candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category in the 2015-2016 session. This initiative has been launched to ensure that the SC candidates get the opportunity to develop professional skills as per the demands of the industrial sector.Rajesh Bagha said that the Chairman of Punjab Infotech Manjit Singh Rai has sought co-operation of the SC Commission for the success of this initiative. Lauding the initiative, Bagha said that this unique initiative would prove to be a boon for the SC candidates belonging to the economically weaker sections.
Bagha also elaborated that under this programme, the Punjab InfoTech would provide computer related technical education to the 200 candidates from every district in the 2 separate batches of 2200. This programme would cost Rs. 154 lakhs. He also said that the lists are being prepared for the first batch of 2200 candidates and the course in “Certificate course in computer fundamental and office applications” would be started by the end of October.
