AAP Punjab incharege Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak finally resigned

CHANDIGARH : Two controversial leaders of Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) Sanjay Singh incharge General Secretary of Punjab and Durgesh Pathak incharge of organisation building in the state, have finally resigned in wake of AAP’sa defeat in Punjab assembly elections.
Both the leaders had faced allegations of arrogant behaviour, accepting money for allotment of party tickets and ignoring the AAP cadre. The state party leaders had held both of them responsible for the party defeat. The local leaders including Bhagwant Mann, Sukhpal Khaira and H.S.Phoolka had accused central leaders for over indulgence in state affairs. They have alsom been demanding state level executive body of AAP.
The reports of resign by Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak came hours after Dalip Pandey incharge of party in Delhi had resigned after defeat in the MCD polls. The questions were raised if Pandey can resign then why Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak are continuing in Punjab.
The over exposure of central leaders in the election campaign in Punjab had given a tool to opposition parties to blame AAP for bringing outsiders to Punjab. The outsider tag had cost dearly to the party. The ouster of state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur was another reason for dent in the party’s image. The decision to sack Sucha Singh Chhotepur was taken by Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak. The suspended MPs Dharmavira Gandhi and Harinder Singh Khalsa had also worked against the interests of party. It is belived Sanjay Singh didnt allow two MPs to make a come back.
