Afghanistan sign off with stunning win over Windies at World T20

Nagpur : Afghanistan signed off from the World Twenty20 with a historic six-run win over table toppers West Indies in their last league game in Nagpur on Sunday.
Put in to bat first, Afghanistan posted a respectable 124-run target for West Indies on a slow wicket, thanks to Najibullah Zadran’s unbeaten 48-run knock.
In reply, West Indies, who have already secured their place in the semifinals, could manage only 117 for 8 in their stipulated 20 overs. Dwayne Bravo was the top scorer for his side with 28.West Indies had rested swashbuckling batsman Chris Gayle from the inconsequential contest.
For Afghanistan, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan claimed two wickets a piece, while Amir Hamza, Hamid Hassan and Gulbadin Naib shared three wickets between themselves.Najibullah, who also took an incredible catch to dismiss Carlos Brathwaite, was named the Player of the Match.
