Akal Takht Sahib Punj Piare Remain in Chardi Kala; Seek Reinstatement of Sarbat Khalsa

AMRITSAR SAHIB : After being sacked by the SGPC, Panj Piare of Akal Takht Sahib have appealed the Sikh masses to reinstate institution of ‘Sarbat Khalsa’. They said that reinstatement of Sarbat Khalsa was eminent to sort out the challenges in front of the Sikh Nation. In press note shared with PE, Bhai Satnam Singh Khanda, Bhai Mangal Singh, Bhai Tarlok Singh, Bhai Satnam Singh and Bhai Major Singh have said that neutralizing the political influence on temporal Sikh posts was the need of hour. They have said that participation of worldwide Sikhs in this congregation should be mandated. Thanking the Sikh masses for accepting their decree calling for boycott of Takht Jathedars, the Panj Piare asserted that they would continue their duties of preaching Sikhi and holding amrit sanchaars (Sikh initiation).It is noteworthy here that the ‘Panj Piare’ had to go underground after issuing edict on January 2 appealing Sikh masses to socially boycott Takht Jathedars. Punj Piare sevadars remain in chardi kala.
