Akali MLA N.K.Sharma attacked Congress leader in TV studio

CHANDIGARH: In yet another incident of intolerance and arrogance among the SAD leaders, an Akali and real estate baron N.K.Sharma reportedly attacked a Congress leader during a debate in the studio of TV Channel in Mohali yesterday.
Sharma reportedly hit Congress General Secretary Gurvinder Singh Bali when he pointed out corruption by N.K.Sharma and misuse of his power in his business. He also raised the issue of Rs.One crore eelctricity bill not paid by Sharma.
Sharma and Bali were among the four members of panel to dicuss appointment of Asha Kumari AICC General Secretary as incharge of Punjab. Sharma had raised the issue of conviction of Asha Kumari in a land grab case. He however got provoked when Congress leader raised finger on deeds of Sharma.
Bali said that Sharma was involved in land grabbing in Zirakpur and he has no moral right to raise an accusing finger on AICC General Secretary.He claimed that Sharma punched him in the stomach and pushed him forcibly.Sharma has denied the allegations. Meanwhile, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt Amarinder Singh today condemned the criminal assault by an Akali MLA NK Sharma on the party leader GS Bali in a television studio during the course of a discussion here yesterday. The PCC President demanded registration of criminal case for assault and immediate arrest of the MLA for his criminal action. He said, this was the extreme arrogance on part of the Akali MLA, who has already become a law unto himself.
“Let me promise you today that it is matter of six months more and you will have to repent for it as your countdown has already begun”, Capt Amarinder warned the MLA in a strong statement issued here today, saying, “such people with a criminal bent of mind should better be behind the bars than in the television studios”.
