Chandigarh : Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Prof Kirpal Singh Badungar has set up a 3-member committee to inquire into the controversy arising out the Hindu ardas that is distortion of Sikh ardas recited during the inauguration of election office of Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Sikander Singh Maluka.The panel includes SGPC vice-president Baba Buta Singh, general secretary Amarjit Singh Chawla and member Mohan Singh Bangi.Prof Badungar said the committee has been given 15 days’ time as all of them would be in Patna from January 1 to 7.Jathedar Akal Takht Giani Gurbachan Singh has directed the SGPC to inquire into this controversy after studying the entire video.Significantly, Maluka is defiant. In a radio talk, he has maintained that this was the traditional Hindu Ardas and the controversy had been triggered by his opponents who got scared of the huge gathering at the function.
