Chandigarh, September 26 : The Punjab Congress president Mr Partap singh Bajwa on the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Mr Virbhadra Singh as part of the Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi’s hate agenda and political vendetta against Congress Party and its leaders that had reached its nadir. In a statement, Mr Bajwa said setting a shocking example of politics stooping to its lowest ebb, the Modi government raided Mr Virbhadra Singh’s residence at a time when his elder daughter, Ms Meenakshi was getting married. On one side, entire family including guests from bride and bridegroom’s sides were proceeding to the temple for marriage, Modi government, blinded by personal revenge, was raiding the residence of the Chief Minister. Modi government’s lust for settling political rivalry has made it alien to India’s culture and tradition of not disrupting marriage of a daughter. This inhumane, cruel and revengeful behaviour was characteristic of personal style ofMr Modi, he added. He said the Congress stoutly and strongly deprecates, abhors and condemns the politics of revenge and vendetta unleashed by Mr Modi and BJP government converting CBI as a BJP’s Investigation Bureau against political opponents. These fascist tendencies are the very anti-thesis of healthy democracy which Congress Party stands for. Our resolve to fight the dictatorial, autocratic and vendetta driven politics of Mr Modi and his ilk only becomes stronger and more resolute by such lowly acts of partisan political vendetta. He pointed out that a few months back, BJP government through CBI, had registered a preliminary enquiry against Mr Virbhadra Singh in a completely false and old disproportionate assets case with a view to divert public attention from the burning issues of corruption and impropriety by BJP leaders and its Chief Ministers in Modigate, Vyapam Scam, Chhattisgarh PDS Scam, Chhattisgarh Bank Scam, Rajasthan Mining Scam, Maharashtra Chikki and Tender Scams, Fake Degrees Scam and many other cases.
