BJP says 11 MLAs to join, AAP denies

Chandigarh : Even as the Punjab BJP today claimed it had been approached by 11 Aam Aadmi Party MLAs who were keen to switch over, a confident Bhagwant Mann, the newly-appointed state AAP convener, said that accompanied by “all party legislators”, he would pay obeisance at the Golden Temple later this week.
He is to visit martyr  soldier Paramjeet Singh’s family in Tarn Taran tomorrow.
Not just Mann, newly- appointed vice-president Aman Arora also met Bholath MLA Sukhpal Khaira today. The latter held talks with former Punjab convener Gurpreet Ghuggi. Both Khaira and Ghuggi are unhappy at Mann’s election as state convener. An obdurate Khaira said he would not take back his resignation as the party chief whip, alleging the leadership had “sacrificed party ideals to protect the interests of a few”. He denied having held a meeting with a group of 11 MLAs.Vineet Joshi, Punjab BJP secretary, claimed AAP was “disintegrating” and that 11 of its legislators would cross over any time. But most AAP MLAs rubbished such talk.
Mann said the party was gearing up to “expose the Congress-Akali-BJP nexus. We will expose all such plots.” He said he would reach out to those upset with decisions, including his appointment.
