Boy’s body with throat slit found in toilet at Gurugram’s Ryan school

Gurugram, September 8 : A Class 2 student of Ryan International School in Sohna area here was on Friday found dead on the campus with his throat slit, the police said.Some students found the 7-year-old boy lying in a pool of blood inside a toilet in the school building around 8.30 am, they said. The horrific incident came to light when a fellow student went to the toilet and saw him trying to crawl outside. “We have registered a case. We will not say anything till the facts are confirmed,” said officiating Commissioner Simardeep Singh who reached the spot with a forensic team.
“The child had a routine of going to the toilet whenever he reached the school and the accused was aware of the fact. The CCTV installed outside the toilet is not working but other cameras are. The child probably witnessed something by chance or was subjected to some harassment, and post-mortem will throw light on the same,” said an investigating official. The incident has, meanwhile, lead to huge uproar amongst the parents who allegedly went on a rampage in the school accusing the authorities of gross negligence. “Children are not safe here anymore. How could somebody carry a knife and kill a child so brutally. We want action against the school as well,” said a parent. A police team, including forensic experts, is probing the case and has collected blood sample and finger prints from the scene. A knife with blood stains was also recovered from the spot, he said.
