Capt Amarinder warns Badals, Majithia, they will pay for their sins

AMRITSAR : Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha, Capt Amarinder Singh today warned the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and the revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia that they will have to pay for their sins of spreading and promoting the supply of drugs in Punjab that has devastated an entire generation.Addressing an i public rally organised by senior party leader Raman Behal here today, Capt Amarinder referred to the daily deaths of youth reported from the area because of drugs.He disclosed that during last two days, three youth had been reported dead, while 14 others were struggling for life. “And this is all because of silence of and support to drug smuggling and pedalling by Badals and Majithia who have pushed our youth towards addiction”, he said, while adding, “government is supposed to stop and prevent such things but what to talk of stopping these the Badals are promoting it (the drug pedalling and smuggling)”.
The former Chief Minister referred to hundreds of false cases registered against the Congress workers at the behest of Akalis. He said, not only will all these FIRs be cancelled, but cases will be registered against all those who falsely implicated the Congressmen.
He also said, the police officials who acted partially against the Congress workers at the behest of Akalis will also be dealt with according to the law.
Referring to the land grabbing by the local MLA Babbehali forcing scores of people out of their land, he promised that he will ensure that this MLA was put behind bars once Congress came to power.Capt Amarinder expressed serious concern over the rising unemployment in the state which he said was the cause of growing problem of law and order. He blamed Akalis for it saying, had the industry not been forced out of Punjab, there would not have been this much of unemployment. He said, wrong and hostile policies of the Akalis were responsible for the flight of the industry from the state.
