Chandigarh : Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has accused SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal of unleashing a negative and anti-people agenda with their “misleading statements and baseless charges” against the Congress government. Rejecting the Akali charges on the Congress government “backtracking” from its promises, the Chief Minister, in a statement released here, blamed the Akalis for the fiscal mess in the state. The financial crisis prevailing in the state was a result of the ill-conceived and corrupt policies of the erstwhile SAD-BJP government, the CM said, adding that this, coupled with delay in GST contribution from the Centre, had led to delay in salary disbursement of government employees this month.
