Conference to Promote Punjabi Held at Guru Nanak Sikh Academy of Hayes

HAYES, United Kingdom : A conference to promote Punjabi language across the United Kingdom, was held in Guru Nanak Sikh Academy of Hayes. The theme of the conference was to deliberate upon methods to upgrade the Punjabi language to make it a prominent modern language.Lady Kamaljit Kaur encouraged teachers to grasp new techniques to teach students. Elaborating on the significance of these new techniques, Lord Inderjit Singh promoting Punjabi language internationally was the need of hour. He added that as Punjabis are living everywhere in the world so establishing our identity is necessary today.Principal of Guru Nanak Sikh Academy Mrs. Dial Thandi shared procedures teach pronunciation of Punjabi. Assistant Principal Sri Naresh Chandla apprised the audience with new techniques of assessing a student’s performance.Vice Principal of Guru Nanak Sikh Academy Mr. Antonio D’onofrio warmly welcomed the audience and promised to upgrade the standard of studies of Punjabi & the Sikh religion. He arranged a special training for the participants to attract students of other ethnicities to learn Punjabi. Teachers of Punjabi Schools of Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Coventry and Slough participated in this event.
