Ahmedabad, Aug. 2 : The death toll due to heavy rainfall in Gujarat has risen to 53.According to reports, 28 deaths have occurred in the worst-affected Banaskantha district.On Saturday, four MI17V5 choppers from Ahmedabad, and one each from Jodhpur and Phalodi had been called in for relief work in Banaskantha, in the wake of heavy rains leading to a flood like situation in the state.The NDRF had earlier mobilized 21 search and rescue teams to the flood affected areas to assist the respective state administration in rescue and relief works.Fifteen search and rescue teams of NDRF consisting of 510 trained responders along with 57 rubber boats have been deployed at various flood affected parts of Gujarat, like Tehsil -Suigam, Tehsil Deesa, Hahara, Banaskantha, Bhuj, Ahmedabad.
