Delhi Police registers FIR against Alka Lamba for trespassing, a day after the AAP MLA was physically attacked

New Delhi, August 10: Another Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator has been booked for violating the law. An FIR has been registered against Chandni Chowk MLA Alka Lamba for vandalising a sweet shop.Hours after Lamba was attacked by an unidentified man during the anti-drug drive organized by her on Sunday morning, a CCTV footage was obtained by the police, which shows Lamba along with her supporters entering a sweet shop and toppling the counter table. “We have got to know about CCTV footage. We’ll examine it and then we will proceed,” said Police Commissioner B S Bassi. BJP state president Satish Upadhyay lashed out at the AAP government saying, “Police should take action against culprits. She provoked her supporters and has taken law in her hand. They are indulging in hooliganism,” said Upadhyay.BJP MLA O P Sharma who was alleged by AAP for carrying out the attack at Lamba, struck back at the AAP MLA. Calling Lamba a drug addict, Sharma said, “CCTV footage don’t lie. Next time she will go back on stretcher.”
