Devotees at Golden temple to get free wify internet facility

AMRITSAR: First time to facilitate the devotes from home and abroad, SGPC the management body of Golden Temple has today announced free internet WI-FI facility to devotees.
SGPC Additional secretary Mr. Daljit Singh Bedi here today said that visiting devotees would be able now to avail the facility of free internet wi-fi connection in all the nearby routes around the periphery of Golden Temple (outside area), besides all the guests houses run by SGPC for pilgrims in the Golden Temple complex. He said that WIFI would also be functional in all the offices of SGPC and related offices of Golden Temple, besides Akal Takhat.
Bedi made it cleared that keeping in view the sanctity and religious ethics, the wifi internet would not work inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Golden Temple and marbled periphery around the water pond.Bedi said that free wifi facility being provided by the Videocon Company would be operational from Monday onwards.Bedi informed that around one lakh foot fall was registered in the Golden Temple in normal days and during weekend or on special religious occasions foot fall of devotes touched to two lakhs.
