Family of girl killed in police firing seeks compensation, job

Patiala : Family of the girl who was killed in the police firing after the Nabha jailbreak has demanded compensation and job for one member claiming that she was their sole breadwinner.Neha Sharma was killed after Samana policemen opened fire at a car that jumped the barricade after the jailbreak.
Even though she has two elder brothers and a younger brother, they are jobless and she had even taken a loan for constructing the house in which the entire family stays, they claimed.No one from the state government has approached the family yet, they claimed even as Aam Aadmi Party MP Bhagwant Mann paid a visit to the bereaved family.Mann was accompanied by three AAP candidates from Patiala district.
He called up the Patiala SSP in front of the family and media and expressed discontent over registering case against unidentified persons. He urged the SSP to book all the policemen who were on duty on the naka where Neha was shot.
