First pay obeisance than come to AAP’s Baisakhi rally : Mann appeals to people

JALANADHAR : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) appealed people to first pay obeisance at Gurudwara and then come to AAP’s rally on Baisakhi at Talwandi Sabo on April 13.
“We want people to pay obeisance at Talwandi Sabo Gurudwara first, before coming to AAP rally, which will shower blessings for the party in rally”, AAP MP Bhagwant Mann said while addressing a rally during AAP’s ‘Doaba Joro’ programme here at Jamsher village in Jalandhar Cantonment assembly segment. It is pertinent to mention here that Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal has already appealed people to visit Akali rally first instead of paying obeisance in Talwandi Sabi Gurudwara in a fear of poor attendance at SAD’s proposed rally. “What is the benefit of sending people to Teerath Yatra through special trains, when you are stopping them to pay obeisance at Gurudwara on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi?”, Mann quipped. Mann said while Akalis claim of providing people Atta-Dal at lower rate, AAP would provide people employment to enable them to earn and buy food on their own with dignity unlike Akalis who are treating them as ‘baggers’. “When farmers are committing suicides due to heavy debt, youth are trapped to drugs because of unemployment, Akalis are offering them ‘pani wali bussa and 4G”, Mann said adding that this shows how far the Akalis are from ground reality as they always saw Punjab from air only. On so called claim of Akalis of development by constructed flyovers, Mann said that government virtually spent not even a single penny on this ‘development’ rather indulged in loot by allowing private companies to construct it and collect money from people.
“We pay road tax at the time of registration of vehicles, but again forced to cough up money to use these rented roads”, Mann said quipping for what the one-time road tax was taken from people?
Training his gun on State Congress Chief Captain Amarinder Singh, Mann said “When Captain was an MLA he never visited assembly, as an MP he was never seen in Parliament and now on what ground he want to become CM of Punjab?. “It is not a cake walk Captain Saab, you have to understand people and their problems before pursuing them to vote in your favour”, Mann said. “Hun Raje Rani de pet to nahi nikalde, balki EVM machina ton nikalde hun (Now kings are not born, but they are made through EVM machines), Mann added. Earlier today Mann addressed two more political rallies at Pattar Kalan village in Kartarpur and Haripur village of Adampur assembly segments.
