Four Twitter handles related to Dera Sacha Sauda suspended

Kurukshetra, September 1 : Four Twitter handles associated with Dera Sacha Sauda, including a verified account of rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, were suspended on Friday.
Accounts — @Gurmeetramrahim and @derasachasauda were suspended. Similarly, two other accounts @OfficialMSG_2 and @RamRahimInsan have been blocked by Twitter. Sources in the Haryana Police confirmed to The Tribune that the Intelligence officials had approached Facebook to block 22 accounts related to the dera, including the person-of-eminence status with ‘blue tick’ of Ram Rahim.
The Tribune had highlighted that Ram Rahim continued to hold person-of-eminence status with ‘blue tick’ on his Facebook (FB) and Twitter accounts.
Though the Twitter handle was noticed in the suspension mode in India on Friday morning, a verified Facebook page of the convict continues to be active.
Interestingly, the virtual following of Ram Rahim’s Twitter handle @Gurmeetramrahim has witnessed a dip since his conviction.
