New Delhi, May 9 : Buoyed by the win of President-Elect Emmanuel Macron’s victory in French Presidential elections, the Europe seems to have overcome the wave of nationalism and xenophobia and looking forward to expand trade ties with rest of the world including India. The trade bolstered by Rafale deal is likely to be strengthened by an expected meet between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President-Elect Emmanuel Macron in July this year ahead of G-20 summit in Hamburg.
However, Ministry of External Affairs has still not confirmed about the meet. After registering a landslide in the election, Macron was congratulated by PM Modi. He said, “Congratulations to @EmmanuelMacron for an emphatic victory in the French Presidential election. I look forward to working closely with President-elect @EmmanuelMacron to further strengthen India-France ties.”
