Hazoori Ragis and Preachers shout ‘Paapi’ at ‘Jathedar’ Giani Gurbachan Singh

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Appointed Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Gurbachan Singh was reportedly confronted by SGPC staff, Hazoori Raagis and Sikh preachers for failing in upholding the gravitas and integrity of highest temporal post in Sikhism.The unprecedented incident took place when Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh arrived at Diwan Hall of Manji Sahib to attend ‘Ardas’ for repentance of the desecration incidents across Punjab.Firstly, the angered Raagis Bhai Karaj Singh, Bhai Harcharan Singh and Bhai Satnam Singh moved towards Giani Gurbachan Singh and asked him for clarification in demolishing the Sikh pride by granting unasked for pardons to the Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim. But the Jathedar managed to escape from location with the help of a human security shield.However, the Sikh sangat present there also joined the Raagis and termed Jathedars as a ‘Paapi’ (sinner).It is worth mentioning that Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh had been avoiding public functions since having granted an unasked for pardon to the Sirsa cult chief on September 24.
