HSGPC Contacts President of India About the Violation of Human Rights in Punjab

HOSHIARPUR : Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has written a letter to President of India to apprise him with the violation of Human rights being carried out by the Punjab government by falsely indicting Sarbat Khalsa 2015 organizers under sedition charges. A copy of the letter has been also sent to the Home Minister Rajnath Singh and the National Human Rights Commission.HSGPC head Jagdish Singh Jhinda announced about this while staging a protest outside the Hoshiarpur Central Jail opposing the arrest of Jathedar of Takht Damdama Sahib Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal. He said that he has tried to acquaint the President with the ongoing misuse of law by the Punjab government.He stated that in honesty, Parkash Badal needs to be indicted under sedition charges as he had burnt copies of Indian constitution and also had signed the resolution of Khalistan. Jhinda said that Punjab government was indicting all those under sedition charges who are preaching Sikhism in Punjab, encouraging drug addicted youth to rehabilitate to normal life and encouraging youth to be Amritdhari.Lashing out at Akali Dal appointed Jathedar Gurbachan Singh, he said that by exonerating Sirsa Cult Chief in blasphemy charges, Gurbachan Singh blotted the supremacy of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
