ISI, Pakistan-based terror outfits to attack India, says Intelligence age

New Delhi, Nov 27: A day after the seventh anniversary of 26/11 attacks, Indian intelligence agencies have received information that the Pakistan intelligence department, Inter-Services Intelligence(ISI) along with deadly terror organisation are planning attacks in the country. According to reports, Pakistan’s ISI held a meeting with Chief commanders of terror organisations including Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Hizbul Mujahideen and Jaish-e-Muhammed (JeM) asking them to plan terror attacks in India.
According to a Times of India Report, about 30 militants from these terror organisations have been asked to carry out terror strikes in India. They have been brought close to Line of Control to carry out the attacks. ISI briefed terror outfit’s militants in a camp somewhere in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). As per reports, the meeting was headed by an ISI handler who is identified as Showkat Khan. The militants are believed to be highly trained and will cross border over to India before snow blocks their way. Following the information, Indian agencies fear a major attack next month in the country. TOI quoted and official as saying, ”We are making every possible attempt to get all details of the operation which has been planned by the Pakistani establishment with the terror outfits.”
These terror outfits were among the ones responsible for earlier attacks in the country including the 26/11 Mumbai attack. They were the ones who also articulated the 2001 Parliament attack, September 2011 Delhi high court attack and bombings in various cities. The Centre has been asked to beef up of security measures and maintain vigil along the border and LoC.
