Jalandhar: STF rounds up CIA Inspector in drugs case

Jalandhar, June 12 : The Special Task Force on Monday rounded up Inspector Inderjit Singh, posted at CIA, Kapurthala, for his alleged involvement in a drugs case.
IG, Special Task Force, Parmod Ban, confirmed that his team had picked up Inderjit for his alleged role in the case, but he chose not to share more details. “We will share complete information by the evening,” he said.
Inderjit has earlier served in CIA, Jalandhar. He has also worked as Inspector in Phagwara. He is known to have cracked various cases related to drugs and gang operations in the region.
He was on the radar of gangster Sukha Kahlwan, who had been gunned down near Phagwara two years back.
Gangster Prince, arrested by the STF two months back, is learnt to have shared some information against the Inspector, after which he was picked up from his residence at Police Lines this morning.
