SAD MLA from Bagha Purana resigns after police threats, PSHSC Chairman also resigns

CHANDIGARH: Maheshinder Singh Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) MLA from Bagha Purana today resigned from the party and from his seat in assembly in protest against threats given to him by Police to force him to work for SAD. Sukhbir Badal had denied him party ticket for 2017 assembly poll.
Maheshinder Singh said that his family was threatened by Sukhbir Badal through Police and he was asked not to leave SAD after denial of party ticket to him. He said that false allegations were levelled against him and his son.
In another setbakc to SAD, Barjinder Singh Brar and Iqbal Singh Jhunda, have also resigned as Chairman of the Punjab State Health Systems Corporation (PSHSC) and Chairman of District Planning Committee Sangrur, respectively.
