He listened to us. We told him that there is no intolerance in the country. He told us that such things dent the image of the nation, he also hailed our march,” Kher told reporters here.”He said that they have been fighting against this since 1947. We asked him to come to Mumbai and address the artists,” he added. The actor led a march to the Rashtrapati Bhavan today in New Delhi to protest against the voices being raised over “intolerance” in the country.Kher said the intolerance debate is an attempt to malign the image of the country and is intended to target the Narendra Modi-led government. After meeting President Pranab Mukerjee today, Kher said that the former told him that the Constitution must be revered at all costs and those who are returning the awards must remember that it had been bestowed upon them by the people of the nation, and not by the government.
