JALANDHAR : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann termed the giving of “Kissana Da Rakha” Award to Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal as ‘cruel joke’ with the farmers and quipped, how could Badal, who is squarely responsible for the poor plight of farmers be given such an award?
“Had Badal applied his inner-conscious before accepting this award, I hope that old-aged CM would have avoided accepting this award?, Mann said while addressing the gathering during “Doaba Joro” programme of the AAP at Barring village here.
Why farmers are committing suicides?, Who is responsible for their poor plight? What state Government has done to bring farmers out of debt? Answers of these questions by Badal’s inner-conscious would not have allowed him to accept this ‘unjustified’ Award, given by his own party in a gesture of ‘sycophancy”, Mann said.
While addressing a well-attended and attentive gathering, Mann said that reply of former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder to a student’s quarry: why youth should vote for him (an old aged man), has once again exposed his political nexus with Badal. Amarinder in his reply to student said “if you don’t want to vote for me and Badal, then vote for Kejriwal”, Mann said truth of the nexus, came out from Amarinder’s reply inadvertently.
“Somebody asked me how many seats AAP will win in 2017? I replied that it will be known only after the 2017 Tsunami, how many big trees (leaders) will fall (defeated)? Mann said while vowing to win more than 100 seats in forthcoming assembly poll.
“I have heard that SAD has kept budget of more than Rs 7000 crore to be spent on earmarked 70 seats to purchase votes. I appeal to you, please accept it as it is your money, which was looted by Badals”, Mann said adding that even some of you may get back the identified currency notes, which you had donated in the ‘Golak’ of Darbar Sahib. While training his gun towards Prime Minister Narinder Modi, Mann said “Nation has heard Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’, many a times and now it is time for Modi to listen ‘Man ki Baat’ of people, who are desperately waiting ‘Achche Din’ which he promised during poll campaign”. Commenting on the “Make in India’ campaign by Modi, he asked ‘Modi ji, Jewellers makes the jewellery in India only, who you are all out to ruin them by putting excise tax?
“As the big jewellers provide huge election fund to BJP, now the saffron party is in paying back mode by imposing excise tax to ruin the business of small jewellers”, Mann alleged.Later on Mann also addressed two more political rallies at Basti Guzan and DAV College Chowk.
