Lankan journalist killed by elephant in Minneriya National Park

Colombo, Sept. 8 : A journalist in Sri Lanka’s Minneriya National Park has been killed after he was attacked by a wild elephant.According to the Daily Mirror, 43-year-old Priyantha Ratnayake was covering incidents of wild elephant attacks when he was attacked in the area.He succumbed to his injuries soon after he was admitted to the Hingurakgoda Hospital.
