Man arrested after allegedly stealing from donation box at Sikh temple in Mississauga

Mississauga : Police have charged a 39-year-old man who allegedly stole money from a donation box inside a Sikh temple in Mississauga on Saturday night. According to Const. Rachel Gibbs police were called to the Ontario Khalsa Darbar on Dixie Road near Derry Road at around 11:25 p.m. for a report that someone had stolen from a donation box at the temple.
Gibbs says that officers then located the suspect inside the temple a short time after arriving on scene and took him into custody.According to Gibbs, there were other people inside the temple at the time of the theft.Gurwinder Sangha, of Brampton, is charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of break-and-enter instruments.Sangha will appear in court on April 28.
