New Delhi, Aug 31: Manish Sisodia, on Monday became the the Law Minister of Delhi. Sisodia has replaced Kapil Mishra who was designated as the Law Minister of Delhi in June 2015. Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi now has an additional position to handle.
Sisodia is also holds the Finance and Planning, Revenue, Services, Power, Education, Higher Education, Information Technology, Technical Education, Administrative Reforms portfolios in the government of Delhi. Mishra had succeeded Jitender Tomar as the Delhi’s Law Minister. Mishra, an MLA from Karawal Nagar was handed over the office by Lt Governor Najeeb Jung at a ceremony at the Raj Bhavan. Tomar had resigned from the post after allegations of fake degree charges surfaced on him. Mishra being known as Kejriwal’s loyalist, his name was doing rounds as soon as Tomar’s resignation were discussed. Mishra also headed the post of vice chairman of Delhi Jal Board (DLB) of which Sisodia was earlier the Chairman of DJB.
