Mosul recapture: We’re at work: MEA to kin of missing Indians

New Delhi, July 10 : Families of 39 Indians who went missing in Iraq three years ago are looking forward to some positive news after the Iraqi forces captured Mosul from where their kin were kidnapped by ISIS in June 2014. The families on Sunday reached out to the Ministry of External Affairs which assured them of follow-up action after the recapture of Mosul from ISIS.
Manish Kumar Bawa, whose brother Harish has been missing, spoke to the office of Sushma Swaraj, External Affairs Minister. He was told that the government had sent its emissary to Iraq to negotiate on the issue, and work for the release of the Indians.Bawa said he spoke to the private secretary to Swaraj, who said the government was already on the job.
