Mourinho rules out sabbatical after Chelsea sacking

London : Jose Mourinho has announced that he will not be taking a prolonged sabbatical from the game of football, insisting that he is ‘not tired’ after being sacked as the Chelsea manager. The embattled Portuguese was axed on Thursday in the wake of Chelsea’s nine defeats out of their last 16 Premier League games, which put the defending champions just one point above the relegation zone.
Mourinho released a statement saying that his departure from Chelsea was the first time he had ever been asked to leave a club against his wishes, the Guardian reported.
He further said that he hoped his future after Chelsea would be as successful as when he left the club in 2007. The statement added that Mourinho was ‘immensely proud’ of the trophies he has achieved over two spells at Stamford Bridge, insisting that he would continue to live in London and avoid attending high-profile matches in an effort to discourage any speculations about his future.Mourinho had guided Chelsea to a Premier League and League Cup double last season. He was previously shown the door by Chelsea in 2007 after a successful three-year stint at the club in which he won two Premier League titles, two League Cups and the FA Cup.
