Mystery of 60 missing persons in Nawanshahr district of Punjab haunts SAD-BJP govt

CHANDIGARH : The mystery of 60 persons missing from Balachaur sub division of Nawanshahr district in Punjab during last 21 months has raised serious questions on deterioratiung law and order situation in the state.
The opposition parties have been raising the issue of mushroomning of mafia and rising crime in Punjab during the SAD-BJP government in Punjab. Punjab has witnessed spate of gang wars, day lights robberies and murders in recent years.
Whole police has so far failed to uncovet the mystery of missing persons, it also failed to track the killers of five of the missing persons whose dead bodies were It is not yet clear if there is some gang is operating or mafia operating in Punjab is responsible for the crime.
The issue of missing persons was today taken by Zee Punjab and Haryana TV channel where Harcharan Bains fro SAD, Harjit Singh Grewal from BJP,Inderjit Singh Zira from Congress and Hardip Singh Kingra from Apna Punjab Party.
Inderjit Singh Zira said that cases of missing persons are coming from all districts. He said that there was total breakdown of law and order in Punjab. Zira said that Punjab Police was not able to find missing Guru Granth Sahib and killers of Mata Chand Kaur of Namdhari sect and RSS leaders Jagdeish Gagneja and several other high profile murders.
Hrcharan Bains who claimed that he was not informed about the issue of debate before hand said that such crime was not confined only to Punjab. Is this happening in Punjab only ? He said that in Delhi 30,000 people go missing in Delhi every year. He said that it was not a major issue. He said that how can a government can give assurance that there will be no murder. He said that opposition truying to say that crime may happen else where in the world but it shall not happen in Punjab. Bains who was arrogant seen losing tamper on other penalists.He also fumbled many a times on the questions by anchor Inderjiot Kaur whoi asked some straight questions on missing persons.
Bains tried to justify the crime dueing SAD-BJP rule saying the figure of missing people was higher during Capt Amarinder Singh’s government. He said that he would get the details if it is happening only in Punjab or in all over the country. He said that SSP Nawanshahr has informed that 11 of the missing persons have been traced.
