Navjot Sidhu, wife resign from primary membership of BJP

CHANDIGARH: Navjot Singh Sidhu cricketer turned politcian and former MP today resigned from the primary membership of BJP. He has submitted his resignation on a hand written slip, addressed to President BJP.Navjot Sidhu has floated Punjab-e-Awaaz front to contest the Punjab assembly elections after his unsuccessful attempt to join Aam Aadmi Party(AAP). Arvind Kejriwal had told Sidhu to campaign for party and not contest the elections whereas Sidhu wanted to ‘define his role’ in the party.
Sidhu has been supported by former Hockey captain Pargat Singh, former SAD MLA and two independent MLAs Balwinder Singh Bains and Simarjit Singh Bains. At a press conference held on September 2 last had announced to give next programme within next 15 days.
Pargat Singh has also resigned from SAD yesterday and Navjot Kaur Sidhu wife of Navjot Sidhu has also submitted her resignation from BJP.
