One arrested for blasphemous act in Golden Temple

AMRITSAR : Police has arrested alleged accused Jatinder Chadha (36) who has allegedly torn the pages of holy small religious books in the marbled periphery of the Golden Temple here today.
Police Commissioner G Nageshwara Rao confirming the incident to media said that alleged accused was nabbed by the members of Task Force of SGPC on the spot when acused was tearing the pages of holy small religious book (Sukhmani Mani sahib) in the periphery of the Golden Temple and subsequently handed over to police.Commissioner said that during investigation it was found that accused was resident of Yamuna Vihar, New Delhi was here to pay obeisance as he was suffering from Psoriasis (skin disease) as a reason he was also diagnosed patient of depression.Rao further informed that to cure his skin disease accused was taking medicine from various places and paying obeisance at different religious spots.Rao said that accused had arrived Golden Temple Amritsar on 29th December 2016, started to perform selfless service to clean used utensils, brooming on marbled periphery of the Golden Temple besides regular recitation of Sukhmani Sahib Paath with the belief that his disease would be cured one day. Today, in a fit of depression, he all of sudden started torn pages of religious scripture and was nabbed by the task force member of the SGPC and handed over to police.Police has arrested him under section 295 IPC hurting the religious sentiments of particular community.
