‘Opposition unable to point out law breached by EAM’: Jaitley

New Delhi, July 22 : Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday strongly claimed that nobody in the opposition has been able to point out the law breached by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj with regard to facilitating the release of travel documents related to former IPL czar Lalit Modi.”Yesterday, the opposition wanted a discussion on the issue. We immediately conceded to the demand. But they changed their stance. An investigation happens when there is breach of legal provision, but when we asked the opposition about this, they had no answer,” Jaitley told the media here.”Today Sushma ji gave an elaborate reasoning in the all party meeting and the whole party wants her to give that reasoning to the Parliament. But the opposition is weak on arguments and strong on disturbances. Nobody (opposition) has been able to point out which is the law that the EAM has breached,” he added. The second day of the Monsoon Session of the Parliament was marred today by opposition uproar amid demands for the sacking of tainted BJP ministers.Following the logjam, both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha were adjourned till 2 p.m today. The Rajya Sabha could function for just eight minutes, after reconvening at 12:30 p.m. for a third time.
