Melbourne : Indian tennis ace Leander Paes along with French partner Jeremy Chardy crashed out of the Australian Open after suffering a straight sets defeat in the opening round of men’s double event on Wednesday.The Indo-French pair were beaten by Colombian-Canadian duo of Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah Maksoud 3-6, 4-6, thereby making an early exit from the first major of the season.Meanwhile, Mahesh Bhupathi and his partner Gilles Muller from Luxembourg breeze into the second round after bouncing back from a set-down defeat to seal a 7-6 (7-4), 3-6, 6-4 triumph over Australian pair of Alex Bolt and Andrew Whittington.
