Panj Payaras of Akal Takhat summon five high priests for explanation on pardon to Dera chief

AMRITSAR: The ‘Panj Payaras (the five beloved ones of Guru) at Akal Takht, the highest temporal seats of Sikhs have summoned the five Sikh High Priests including the Jathedar of Akal Takhat on Octber 23 to offer an explanation on pardoning Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmet Ram Raheem Singh.
The decision of Panj Payaras is expected to further complicate the controversy surrounding pardon of Dera Sacha Sauda and likely to have serious political repricussions for Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, his son Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal and SGPC. The Panj Payaras performed ardas at Akal Takht and issued Hukamnama to the five Sikh high priests to appear before them on October 23.
