Physical assault charges: Nawazuddin to file defamation case

Mumbai : Rizwan Siddiqui, the lawyer of Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, on Monday rubbished allegations of physical assault by his client and said that they would file a defamation case against the complainant after the investigation in the matter is complete.
“The allegations are baseless, that’s why we are not scared. We have taken the bail as well. Without summon, I have brought my client and asked him to give his statement and produce evidence. We will file a defamation case after investigation is completed,” said Rizwan.The actor had earlier denied charges of assaulting a woman over parking space in his society and said that the charges are false.”A girl named Heena Sheikh has put false allegations of assault against me. I was not summoned by the police, but being a responsible citizen I came with my lawyer and gave statement. I briefed about the actual incident,” he told the media here.
